Introducing Backlaesch Productions...

I would like to start off introducing myself. Kelsey Laesch, pleasure to blog before you and extremely excited to be back in the blogging scene. This was one of my New Years Resolutions to take blogging back up (I added it to my list yesterday), so I guess I am jumping on the gun early. This blog is mostly going to be a "backlaesch" or backlash if you will, to different fashion and trends. In hindsight, what do we like and what trends were completely faux pas! My fellow hipster siblings...Jordy Laesch and Brian Laesch are to be incorporated in these ideas as well. We are working on starting up a website but you gotta start somewhere so here I go...

I used to blog about fashion, beauty, movies, music, etc...for thezoi.com. Great website for college students to read about different ideas of fellow students and students across the country. My family is from the twin cites of Bloomington-Normal, IL, however we relocated to Indianapolis. Brian(the eldest) graduated from ASU(Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ), Jordy(the middle) from IU(Indiana University in Bloomington, IN), and I
(the baby) graduated from IU as well. Both of our parents went to IU and Jordy and I had no real intentions of following in their footsteps...but it happened and let me say it was fabulous. That makes Brisi...or what we like to call Breezy(Brian) kind of like the black sheep of the fam.

We all have degrees in the same industry, Communications for Brian and Telecommunications for Jordy (or Jordan) and I. That means we seek jobs involving media through any form. Jordy is living in LA and an aspiring actor. Brian did his thing in LA and even wrote a book "The Verge of Psychosis", and is now at grad school to receive his MBA at ASU. Me? Well I have a lot going on right now considering I just graduated this past spring. I planned on moving to LA or NY but with the huge deficit in LA and the overall bad economy...I traveled back and forth to Chicago until I got my third unpaid internship. I have had 7...yes seven jobs in the 4 months that I have lived in Lincoln Park, Chicago. I got two internship positions, a hostess position at a restaurant, a front desk position at a dance studio, a part time event coordinator, an offer for full time event coordinator, and a temporary shot girl at a bar (lasted for one week...hardly worth the little money).

The internship position I took was with Rockit Ranch Productions as a marketing and special events intern. What a great experience promoting the different events, making donations for charities, and helping set up events like The Ting Tings. I am still networking, interviewing, and breaking through this terrible economy.

Well that is all for now...I hope you will continue to read about fashion in hindsight and take a backlaesch to how you feel!

Cheers,

Lashful Girl
